Natural Farming

Our natural farming practices help protect domestic animals, livestock, wildlife, and the people and soil microbes that depend on our land. This commitment to conservation and sustainable agriculture is central to Cole Mountain Farm.

About us

A Natural Approach

Cole Mountain Farm was founded in 2019 by Steve and Stephanie Melito. Our 25-acre family farm sells eggs, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, flowers, and vegetables. Tomatoes, corn, cabbage, mushrooms, and peppers are among our favorite crops. The farm features a heated greenhouse and a self-serve farmstand.

Fruit trees and berry bushes provide ingredients for baked goods that are already a hit with travelers along West Road, including visitors to the nearby Greylock Glen. Stephanie Melito, an accomplished cook and baker, also makes fudge in a variety of flavors. Steve Melito stays out of the kitchen and works on the farm with Mabel the Golden Retriever.

Sustainable agricultural practices and a commitment to conservation are central to Cole Mountain Farm, which proudly supports a farmer-led initiative called Go Natural Education. We do not use herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers, all of which could harm the domestic animals, livestock, wildlife, soil microbes, and people that depend on our 25 acres.

Cole Mountain Farm is part of Thunderbolt Business Services, which provides marketing services to manufacturers, technology companies, farms, researchers, and economic development organizations. Thunderbolt is proud to say that we may be the world’s only marketing agency with a farmstand.
